DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS  - GARBAGE & RECYCLING LABOR DAY SCHEDULE

DPW, Waste Management, and MCIA will be closed on the following dates in observance of Labor Day:

Department of Public Works:

• Monday, September 7^th 2026
• Saturday, September 5^th 2026

Waste Management: (Trash collection delayed by one day due to the holiday)

• Monday, September 7^th  2026: NO trash collection.

Collection Adjustments:

• Monday’s trash will be collected on Tuesday.
• Tuesday service will remain as scheduled.
•  

Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA): Closed on Labor Day

• Recycling will remain on schedule for Thursday, September 10^th, 2026.

 

Important Resident Guidelines:

• Trash Placement: Residents are advised to place their trash out the night before their normally scheduled collection day.
• Collection Completion: Waste Management will strive to complete all collections by end of day Friday.
