Shade Tree Commission

WHEN: Meetings: 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm

The STC advises the Mayor, Township Administration and staff on issues and actions affecting, or that may affect, the arboricultural resources within the Township’s borders.

• Establish policy for shade and ornamental trees and shrubbery in any public right-of-way, park and all other property owned by the Township.
• Encourage proper arboricultural practices throughout the Township.
• Encourage desirable horticultural plantings & activities throughout the Township; particularly on public properties.
• Recommend to Planning Board plans & programs to include in the Master Plan for development and use of public land.
• Administer Arbor Day activities within the Township.
