DRAFT “MANAGED NATURAL LANDSCAPE” ORDINANCE PRESENTATION

At the January 8, 2026, Environmental Commission meeting the Township Landscape Architect, Alisa Stanislaw, LLA conducted a presentation on the draft Managed Natural Landscape ordinance being developed. A PDF of the presentation can be found HERE.  Managed natural landscapes, also commonly referred to as “pollinator gardens,” “rain gardens,” “natural lawns,” “mini meadows,” “pocket prairies,” and “managed meadows,” promote the use of indigenous/native plant material to provide environmental benefits and reduce reliance on traditional grass lawns.
